In the name of God Amen, I William Shaw of Air Township, in the County of Bedford & State of Pennsylvania, Yeoman, being weak in body, but of sound memory and calling to mind the Mortality of the body that it is appointed unto all men ??? to die. This thirteenth Day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred & five Do make and publish and ordain my last will and testament in the manner and form following, Viz, Principally and first of all I commit my soul unto God who gave it & my body to be buried at the Discretion of my Executor hereinafter named. And as touching the estate it hath pleased God to bless me with in this life I will & dispose of as follows, Viz, I will and bequeath unto my beloved wife Jane Shaw all my household furniture & all the Articles in the house ???? Cloth Horse ????, her saddle & bridle, the grain that is now at the barn and the corn in the ground and she is to have the priveledge of sowing the cornfield in fall grain, Also I will and bequeath unto my Daughter Martha Shaw one bed & bedcloths one chest and one Spinning wheell to be given to her Immediately after my Discease --- And it is my will that all my property both real & personal be put to sale as soon as conveniently may be after my Discease (the several articles that is left to my wife & Daughter Martha only excepted). My executors giving three weeks notice in one publich Newspaper then to put it to vendue & if the land does not sell for as much as the executors thinks is a high enough price they are to advertise a second time as above in one other publick newspaper they having however in the Interim to sell at private sale if an opportunity offers. And ??? the money Arising from the sale of my property after my lawful Debts & burial expenses is paid is to be put to Interest by my Executors and this Interest is to be paid yearly to my wife During her Natural life. And at her death her money is to be Divided in the following Manner, Viz, I will & bequeath unto the Children of my eldest Daughter Jane Hedioston(spell!) disceased the sum of five pounds to be equally Divided among them, Also, I will and bequeath unto my second Daughter Nelly Caldwell the sum of Ten pounds, Also I will & bequeath unto my Daughter Martha Shaw one hundred pounds, Also, I will and bequeath unto William Wallace (the boy that now lives in my family) The sum of fifty pounds upon condition that the said William Wallace lives with my wife untill he is Twenty-one years of age or till the death of my wife and if he goes away before he is Twenty-one or before my wife dies he is to have nothing. And if my property does not sell for as much money as the amount of the several Legacies above bequeathed after my lawfull debts & burial expenses is all paid each of the said Legates is only to get a just and true share in proportion to the sum bequeathed them, but if the said property sells for more than the amount of said Legacies the ?????? is to be Divided in three equal share, one of which is to be Divided equally among the children of my Daughter Jane Hedioston(spell!) above mentioned and one share to be given to my Daughter Nelly Caldwell abovementioned & the other share to be paid to my Daughter Martha Shaw above mentioned. And lastly I do hereby Constitute Nominate ordain & appoint my beloved Wife Jane Shaw and ??? ??? James White to be Executors of this my last will and testament to see that it be duly Execute according to the full intent and meaning thereof. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal the day and year first above written. Signed Sealed and delivered by the said William Shaw as and for his last will and Testament in the presence of us who were present at the signing and sealing thereof.

Personally appeared before me the ????? Register for the probate of Wills & granting of Letters of in & for said County, Charles Taggert & John Scott, two of the Subscribing Witnesses to the within Instrument who being duly Sworn do Say that they were personally present & heard & seen the within William Shaw, Sign Seal publish pronounce & declare, the same as his Last Will and Testament and that at the time of doing thereof the said William Shaw was of Sound and disposing mind and memory to the best of these deponents knowledge & belief that they seen Daniel ???? the other Subscribing Witness Sign his name thereto as a Witness to the Execution thereof
