John Latta to William Findley

This indenture made this nineteenth day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and ninety one between John Latta of the County of Westmoreland and State of Pennsylvania yeoman of the one part and William Findley of the County of Franklin and state aforesaid of the other part. Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of twenty pounds lawfull money of the state before mentioned to him the said John Latta in hand paid by the aforesaid Willm Findley the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained and sold and by these presents do hereby grant bargain sell release and confirm unto the said William Findley a certain plantation or tract of land lying and being on Crooked Creek in the County of Westmoreland and State aforesaid adjoining John Findley and others containing two hundred and seventy two acres and three fourths of an acre with the usuall allowances of six per ct for roads ast the same is laid out and surveyed for the said John Latta by virtue of a location or order of survey granted to him at Philadelphia dated the third day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and sixty nine number fifteen hundred and eleven together with all and singular the buildings improvements and appurtenances thereon or thereto belonging or in any wise appurtaining to have and to hold the said two hundred and seventy two acres and three fourths of an acre of land with the appurtenances unto the said William Findley his heirs and assigns forever and I the said John Latta do hereby these presents promise and covenant to warrant and forever defend the said tract of land with the appurtenances unto the said William Findley his heirs and assigns forever from my heirs and all persons claiming by me or under me or any of them

Westmoreland County S.S. Personally came John Latta before me the subscribing Justice of the Peace and Common Pleas in and for the County aforesaid and Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and acknowledged the above conveyance to be his act and deed to the intent the same maybe recorded as such according to law. Witness my hand and seal this nineteenth day of April 1791
