The Church of the Firstborn Ministries is a network of some churches based in Cagayan de Oro, Mindanao, Philippines.  The network member churches reach deep into the remote areas of the Philippine Islands. Senior Pastor is Jesus Carso Jr. and his wife Wilma.

Many times both ministers and members have to cross rivers and jungle like areas to hear and preach the Word of God. This network of some pastors devote countless hours helping to distribute food and clothing to the hungry, indigenous and comfortless children of the villages.

We pray for the sick, declare the word of God and help to build schools for the children.  We exemplify the vision of Nehemiah 2:18, to arise and build.  As pastor Jesus Carso has said, "God has placed us in a strategic position at this time, for a specific purpose."

Deliverance Institute of Theology is also part of the network, serving as a source for additional manpower as these pastors perform exploits for God. The Institute is available free of charge to students and offers a one year program including: Faith, Christology, History of the Church, Prayer, Homiletics, Hermeneutics and Evangelism.

"Faith for Today" is a weekly cable television broadcast viewed by thousands every Friday at 6:30 pm.  As a result of this program many have been added to the network churches

Food for the Hungry program for the indigenous children is a ministry that not only helps the children but some of the parents have been saved and are serving God in the program. One of them is a widow woman, a former Moslem, who was convicted by the Word of God and accepted Jesus as Lord and now served Him! The majority of this indigenous children are comfortless living in one of the slum areas in our place, thier parents struggling to grow enough food to feed their children.  Some of them have to work with worn-out soil that's probably smaller than your backyard. These malnourished, skinny children don't get enought to eat, so they don't feel well much of the time.   Their poor diet puts them in danger or permanent mental and physical damage. They also hunger to know God, who loves them and cares for them. Food for the Hungry Program is a Christian ministry working around the world to feed the poorest of the poor.  We've found that the only way to truly transform a child's life is to feed their physical and spiritual hunger

We prayer walk the streets, where God points and directs, we pray.  There are several local pubs that we have had the privilege to invade the spaces with the gospel of Christ and do some prophetic trainings and activations.  One such occasion we sat at a table in the midst of the noise and the smoke filled room and invited the presence of God to fill the place.  As we talked and prayed and shared our hearts with each other at the table we couldn’t help but notice there were a few onlookers, as usual.   One table nearby had five men talking amongst themselves, they seemed to be oblivious to us.  After sometime passed, one of them caught our eyes, so we ended up having some general conversation that quickly turned to God!  Within moments he was being prayed for!  The Holy Spirit had gone before, softened this young man's heart and he was hungry!   He returned to his table and shortly thereafter came back to us wanting to know if we could please pray for all.

We are always being reminded as to how big God really is- He is Lord of the harvest!    We pray always that he will send more laborers into the fields Mindanao, Cagayan de Oro City.  To be his heart on the streets and share his love in the pubs, to open the doors of the houses and invite those considered unlovable, inside.  To compel those that we meet, to come and join us at the Father's banqueting table.   Recently, a young man moved into the Ministry House that was a new Christian.   We have watched him go from dabbling in the faith a wee bit to ONFIRE prayer warrior!  He partakes in all night prayer gatherings, devouring the WORD and He is so curious about all that is God!  He is evangelizing his friends and family, the study bible we gave him has become his new best buddy!  He shares each new revelation with his friends on the street- even they are impressed, and amazed at what God is doing in this young life.
