Lessons about Joseph (part 4)
Main Point: God can place us where ever He wills. He has a plan.
Main Story Line: God places Joseph second in command to Pharaoh, from rags to riches
Memory Verse: For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11

Do you think that God was pleased with Joseph? I do too! He was faithful wherever God put him. God is in control. He can use us when we are in the lowest or the highest position. He wants us to trust Him because He loves us and wants the best for us, even when it doesnt seem like the best situation or place, He knows and cares and has a plan.
1) Pharaoh had a dream, what was it about? 7 cows sleek and fat and seven ugly skinny cows
2) What happened to the 7 sleek cows? They were eaten by the seven ugly skinny ones
3) Pharaoh had a second dream, what was it about? Seven heads of grain, healthy and good on a single stalk. Then seven other heads of grain sprouted, thin and scorched
4) Then what happened? The thin heads of grain swallowed up the fat ones
5) Who did Pharaoh send for at first to tell him what his dreams meant? Magicians and wise men of Egypt
6) Could they tell him what his dream meant? no
7) Who told Pharaoh about Joseph? the chief cupbearer
8) What did Joseph say when Pharaoh said, "I have heard that you can interpret dreams?" Joseph said "I can not do it but God will give Pharaoh the answer He desires"
9) What did Joseph say the dreams meant? That the seven good cows and grain represented seven years of plenty and the seven skinny cows and grain were 7 years of famine.
10) Did Pharaoh believe Joseph? Yes
11) What did Pharaoh do with Joseph? He put him in charge of all of Egypt
12) How old was Joseph at this time? 30 years old
13) Did what Joseph predict come true? yes
14) What did Joseph do with all the extra food in the seven good years? He stored the food in the cities
15) Joseph had 2 sons, what were their names? Ephraim and Manasseh
16) Was the famine bad in just Egypt or the whole world? the whole world
17) Did people come from all over to get food? yes
2 minutes) Gospel Interwoven:
Just as God had great plans for Joseph, so he does for you and me as well!
As we accept Jesus into our hearts and make Him the leader of our life, we are on our way to heaven! We become children of God and joint heirs with Jesus in the Kingdom of God. We go from a low position like Joseph did, to a high position like Joseph did!
